Summary:
The role of the Maintenance Planner is to improve work force productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access.
It takes a professionally trained Maintenance Planner carefully planning and scheduling work to maintain the designed reliability of equipment.
Job plans created by the Maintenance Planner are intended to ensure or extend the life expectancy of equipment therefore aiding in the total reduction of maintenance cost and increased output of product.
Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals, plans and conferring with management.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Estimate labor hours, tools, and resources needed to complete different work orders.
Prepare preventative maintenance plans and schedules that are in sync with the organization's maintenance goals.
Constantly adjust schedules to account for emergency work.
Act as the primary liaison person between maintenance and operations.
Communicate between maintenance and other internal beneficiaries of maintenance work to ensure that everyone receives timely, efficient, and quality service.
Coordinate planned downtimes to reduce mean time between failures and minimize interference with production schedules.
Minimize the number of interruptions once work begins.
Establish job goals for the maintenance workforce.
Provide immediate insights into potential labor shortages (or excesses).
Help with keeping an optimal stock of spare parts and materials.
Prepare and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance checklists and other standardized procedures (if the organization is missing a maintenance supervisor).
All staff are responsible for Compliance with all GMP, Food Safety and Plant Safety rules while in the processing facility.
Staff are encouraged to report Food Safety and Quality concerns immediately to their supervisors and Quality representatives on shift.
Other responsibilities as assigned by Management QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified individuals must be at least 18 years old to work in the food manufacturing environment.
Ability to follow work instruction and keep pace of Maintenance needs is required.
Individual must have thorough understanding of maintenance policies and procedures.
Effective communication skills are needed to support maintenance team.
This position requires incumbent to have keen attention to detail and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
Individual should have at least 5 years of maintenance experience.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work in and out of cold environment.

Prolonged periods standing for 8-hour shifts 3.
10% of work sitting, working at a desk 4.
Must wear required PPE.

Lift up to 50 lbs.
