Summary:
Forklift Driver is responsible for moving goods, loaded pallets and equipment safely and securely.
In addition to driving forklifts, a Forklift Driver also has a range of other warehouse duties such as packaging shipments or checking inventories.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
1.
Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items.
2.
Transporting materials to different locations within the facility.
3.
Optimizing loads to ensure operational efficiency.
4.
Securing loads to the machine before transportation.
5.
Accurately filling out shift paperwork.
6.
Adhering to production schedules.
7.
Inspecting for damages to vehicles.
8.
Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs.
9.
Ensure that all Safety rules, OSHA requirements and Company Policies are followed.
10.
Other responsibilities as assigned by management.
11.
All staff are responsible for Compliance with all GMP, Food Safety and Plant Safety rules while in the processing facility.
Staff are encouraged to report Food Safety and Quality concerns immediately to their supervisors and Quality representatives on shift.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Qualified individuals must be at least 18 years old to work in the food manufacturing environment.
Ability to follow work instruction and keep pace of shipping department is required.
Individual must have thorough understanding of shipping policies and procedures.
Effective communication skills are needed to support forklift team.
This position requires incumbent to have keen attention to detail and experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Individual will need to pass certification from Urban Farmer.
The individual must be able to perform each essential job duty and responsibility satisfactorily.
Individual must have good hand/eye coordination and excellent motor skills to operate necessary machinery safely.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work in and out of cold environment.
2.
Must wear required PPE.
3.
Lift up to 50 lbs.

Generally, works in a warehouse or plant environment.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be exposed to moving mechanical parts/product and vehicular traffic.
The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures and noises.
