Summary:
As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Urban Farmer, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our business operations.
You will play a key role in developing and implementing financial strategies to support our company's growth objectives and ensure long-term financial sustainability.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to senior management while managing the day-to-day financial activities of the organization.
Key
Responsibilities:
1.
Financial Planning and Analysis:
o Lead the annual budgeting process and long-term financial planning initiatives.
o Conduct financial analysis to evaluate business performance and identify areas for improvement.
o Develop financial models and forecasts to support decision-making and strategic planning.
o DEVELOP AND MONITOR KPIS THAT TRACK BUSINESS PERFORMANCE2.
Financial Reporting and Compliance:
o Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
o Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and accounting standards.
o Manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory agencies.
3.
Risk Management:
o Assess financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them effectively.
o Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
4.
Capital Management:
o Manage the company's capital structure, including debt and equity financing.
o Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations to optimize returns, INCLUDING M&A OPPORTUNITIIESo Oversee cash flow management and liquidity planning.
5.
Strategic Leadership:
o Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute INITIATIVES THAT DRIVE TOP AND BOTTOM LINE GORWTHo Provide financial insights and guidance to support STRATEGIC business decisions SUCH AS PRICING, INNOVATION AND CAPEX INVESTMENTSo Identify opportunities for cost optimization and revenue enhancement.
o SERVE AS A STRATEGIC ADVISOR TO THE CEO6.
PEOPLE LEADERSHIPo MANAGE A TEAM OF 5 OR MORE FINANCIAL PROFESSIONALSo DEVELOP / LEAD DIRECTOR AND/OR VICE PRESIDENT LEVEL TALENTo HELP BUILD A COLLABORATIVE CULTURE CAPABLE OF RESPONDING QUICKLYT TO BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES
Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
o Proven experience as a CFO or senior financial executive in the food manufacturing industry; EXPERIENCE MANUFACTURING PIZZA OR FROZEN FOOD A PLUSo Strong financial acumen with a deep understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
o Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
o Strategic thinker with a track record of driving financial performance and implementing process improvements.
o Experience working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with the ability to adapt to change and ambiguity; preferably WITH EXPERIENCE IN PRIVATE EQUITY PORTFOLIO COMPANIES.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
o Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
o Manual dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
o Occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds may be required for file maintenance and office organization.
o Visual acuity to read and analyze financial reports and data.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
o Fast-paced and dynamic office environment with a focus on collaboration and innovation.
o Open office layout promoting communication and teamwork among employees.
o Regular interaction with cross-functional teams including operations, marketing, and sales.
o Occasional travel may be required for meetings, conferences, or site visits.
