GENERAL
Summary:
A multi-skilled position responsible for the operation and quality control of all the Salad Dressing mix equipment and processing systems required in the process of making salad dressing.
This person should be production oriented, trained in food safety defense, have good leadership skills, and willing to work closely with other Salad Dressing Operators.
Weigh all ingredients accurately.
Mix batches of raw materials following the batch record.
Operate all Salad Dressing mixing and milling systems accurately.
SCOPE OF JOB FUNCTION Start-up and shutdown of Salad Dressing mixing equipment following Safety, Quality, and Production guidelines.
Set up materials and equipment to be used in daily mixing Perform cleaning and sanitation following all guidelines Assist Batch weigher as needed Assist in mixing batches of raw materials and processing into Salad Dressing Close and seal all raw material containers Make sure that all raw materials are wiped clean before returning to the storage area Ensure all incoming and outgoing raw materials are clearly marked for content and expiration date Inspect pre-weighed batches for accuracy Monitor materials in use to ensure productivity and quality requirements are maintained Transport totes as needed to ensure safe and productive work area Relieve and fill-in for the Salad Mixer as needed Take samples to the Lab so they can perform quality checks such as, Total Salts, PH (CCP #1), temperature, viscosity, taste and Acidity testing.
Keep accurate production and quality records Maintain housekeeping standards in the Salad Dressing mixing area Participate as an active member of the Production Team Participate in Quality and Productivity improvement efforts Follow all written and verbal Salad Dressing mixing production instructions and priorities Monitor and turn in all production and quality sheets for the shift Document duties as scheduled in the computer based system Inform Production Manager of all production, quality, safety, or personnel issues Follow all written and verbal production instructions and priorities Assist in finding coverage for shift to fill in for absences and vacations A good working and communication relationship with co-workers, warehouse personnel, the Production Supervisor and Manager Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent work experience Effective verbal, listening, written and interpersonal communication skills Ability to work well with other departments in the company Ability to work off shifts, weekends, and holidays if required Self- directed Good attendance DESIRED:

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
